Plaza is a token launchpad on Polkadot Hub. You create a token, people trade it on a bonding curve, and when it hits its funding goal, it automatically graduates to a real DEX. No gatekeepers, no code required.

Where the name comes from
Robert Habermeier — Polkadot co-founder — wrote about a vision he called Plaza: a chain optimized for asset issuance and DeFi on Polkadot. That vision inspired our name. We're not the official Plaza. We're builders who read that post and thought: this is the chain where a meme launchpad should live.
So we built one.
What makes Plaza different
Create to Earn
On most launchpads, creators launch a token and hope for the best. On Plaza, creators earn 25% of every trade fee — from the first buy to the last. If your token graduates to PlazaSwap, you get a FeeKey NFT representing 10% of the locked liquidity pool fees. Create once, earn with it forever.
Burn & Earn
When a token graduates, 90% of the LP tokens are burned permanently. Not locked. Not timelocked. Burned. The remaining 10% is locked in a fee vault for the creator. This means rug pulls aren't just unlikely — they're structurally impossible. Nobody can pull the liquidity, because the liquidity doesn't belong to anyone.
Native assets, not smart contracts
Tokens launched on Plaza aren't ERC-20 contracts — they're native assets minted at the blockchain runtime level, the same tier as DOT itself. But they're fully ERC-20 compatible through Polkadot Hub's precompile layer. Your MetaMask works. Your Solidity works. You just get chain-level security guarantees that no contract can offer. And gas? About a cent.
How it works
- Create — Pick a name, set a ticker, pay the creation fee. Done.
- Trade — Anyone can buy and sell on the bonding curve. Price goes up with demand.
- Graduate — When the curve fills its funding goal, your token automatically moves to PlazaSwap with permanent liquidity.
